A French bistro in the old-town

Opened in one of the last authentic and traditional houses of Shangri-La, you will find a really cosy and charming atmosphere to enjoy good coffees or fresh juices, european food with high quality products , and a great selection of French wines, beers and spirits.

We currently don’t accept credit card, coming very soon!
However ATMs are available nearby the restaurant and we accept WeChat payment.

The Tiger rises from the ashes

During the night of January, 11th 2014, a terrible fire destroyed Shangri La’s old town, before known as Zhongdian or Gyaltang, in Tibetan language. Luckily there was no loss of life, but during the 12 hour-fire, 340 houses were destroyed. It was a miracle that our traditional house in town was preserved from the flames… but it was partly ruined by a bulldozer. In early April 2015, Guillaume and Constantin, the french owners, finished to restore it. It is now one of the rare traditional buildings in the old town, where we opened on June, 19th, a French Café & Wine Bar : the Flying Tigers Café.
